Workers Compensation Act

The Louisiana Workers Compensation Act can be confusing to injured workers in Louisiana. Found in Title 23 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes, the workers compensation act serves as the rules and regulations that cover how your on the job injury will be handled by your employer, its workers compensation insurer, the doctors who provide treatment to you, the nurse case managers and vocational counselors who may get involved in your claim for workers compensation benefits, and how the Louisiana Office of Workers Compensation will ultimately decide your case, if necessary. As we continue to add to our Louisiana Workers Compensation Act blog we hope to become your trusted resource that will help you better understand your legal rights to workers compensation benefits.
